Corporate Video: Sunset Waste Systems Minimize

Sunset Waste Systems provides solid waste collection and recyclable material processing services to several municipalities and commercial enterprises located throughout Fresno, Kern, Tulare and Kings counties in the State of California. Sunset Waste Systems currently provides these services to the cities and jurisdictions of Fresno, Visalia, Sanger, Reedley, Delano, Woodlake, Biola, Lindsay, the Lemoore Naval Air Station and unincorporated Fresno and Kings counties.

3B began meeting with Sunset Waste Systems in the late Fall of 2006. Looking to produce a video that the company could use to demonstrate their services and long history in waste systems to potential clients. After some initial meetings 3B toured the corporate headquarters and transfer station in Fresno, California and begin to film the massive machinery and the recycling process. After a few "location" shoots, the editing and post production began.

Using Adobe After Effects, Premiere and a other software, Sunset's video began to take shape and tell their story. 3B carefully, with the help of Sunset drafted a script that would provide a narrative to the visual story already being assembled and finalized with the  video footage they had collected. Once the script was finalized, 3B hired professional actor, Randy Bishop to tell the story.

3B Digital Studios was grateful for the offportunity to work with Sunset Waste Systems and to learn the importance of recycling and the role that Sunset plays to collect, recycle and educate and in our communities.

Commercial Spot: Visalia Police Department 30 Second Spot Minimize

Commercial Spots:

A very extensive shooting schedule was required to produce the Visalia Police Department’s Recruitment Video/Television Spot. All of the Police Department’s divisions were included in the schedule. The shots of Traffic, K9, S.W.A.T., Homicide, CSI, Patrol, Briefings, Benefit Testimonies, and Dispatch consumed more than 20 hours of footage reduced to 30 seconds.

The shot selection was difficult to say the least. And granted more than just the 30 second spot were the shots intended. One such shoot was the staging of a crime scene in a nice little neighborhood park. It included our using one of the detectives for the victim, a murder scene. In setting up the shot with crime scene markers, police line tape, the dead victim on the ground, detectives walking around examining evidence and shooting still shots of the scene and 3B’s cameraman shooting it all and staging its shots. The whole thing set off a series of 911 calls, the local newspaper investigating, and concerned and saddened citizens that happened to drive by. Moral of the story use a studio.

Some real exciting times also occurred at the K9 shoot. Be assured the policeman in protective gear in these shots is really protected from injury from bites and scratches. This footage goes a long way working as a deterrent to those who might think about running when faced with a K9 Unit. Most of us have seen the enthusiasm of children at Christmas or special events in their lives. They don’t compare to the eagerness of the police canine bounding out the rear door of a K9 Unit bound for a fleeing suspect. These animals are out in a flash and at great speed jump onto the suspects knocking them to the ground where they immediately pin the suspects until the K9 Officer arrives to cuff the suspect. It is truly a sight to see and it provides the understanding of the importance of K9 Units. They save the lives of fleeing suspects as well as our police officers.

Perhaps the most moving shoot occurred in the Police Station at the daily briefings. It was here that we realize the importance of their community and the information distributed and shared for their protection as well as ours, the general population, and for the purpose getting the bad guys off the streets. The intimacy in their relationship cannot be mistaken and it works at keeping them safe while keeping us safe.

The following links are provided as examples for churches or religious organizations. The first, Gateway Church, was created as an opening for an alternative to church announcements being done from the pulpit or platform. This opener creates the idea of a news broadcast's opening segment. The second and third links were created for River Oaks Church's media/video deparment to open and/or close any of their video segments that they might produce.
